Raise Awareness

Raising Awareness

Raising awareness is key to helping children and teens with P.A.N.D.A.S./P.A.N.S. Since P.A.N.D.A.S. was only discovered in 1998 and P.A.N.S. several years later, they are not well known leaving children undiagnosed and untreated due to lack of awareness and support. The progression of support and knowledge of P.A.N.D.A.S./P.A.N.S. has been growing at higher speed than disorders in the past but there is always more to do and overcome.

P.A.N.D.A.S./P.A.N.S. Awareness Day

P.A.N.D.A.S./P.A.N.S. awareness day is the 9th of October. In 2014, it was officially recognized by 23 U.S. states, Buenos Aires, Italy, Turkey, Dubai, and the United Kingdom.

P.A.N.D.A.S./P.A.N.S. Awareness Day Events

In 2014, P.A.N.D.A.S./P.A.N.S. awareness day events were hosted all across the United States and the world. These events are great ways to spread awareness, raise money for research, and support families with P.A.N.D.A.S./P.A.N.S. The problem with these events is that they are mostly attended by people who already know about P.A.N.D.A.S./P.A.N.S. Whether they have a child or teen with P.A.N.D.A.S./P.A.N.S., are a child or teen with P.A.N.D.A.S./P.A.N.S., or know a child or teen with P.AN.D.A.S./P.A.N.S. In order to truly be spreading awareness, we have to reach out to the rest of the world, who are living in the dark about P.A.N.D.A.S./P.A.N.S.

How to Help

You can help spread awareness by learning more about P.A.N.D.A.S./P.A.N.S., teaching others about P.A.N.D.A.S./P.A.N.S., attending events such as the awareness day events, or requesting a proclamation for October 9th to be P.A.N.D.A.S./ P.A.N.S. awareness day in your area.
